Bentheim Black Pied
Also known as: Buntes Bentheimer Schwein
This breed originated in the region ”Grafschaft Bentheim” in northern Germany. In the beginning of the 20th century there was a large number of colored swine in this region. Local breeds were crossed with Berkshire and Cornwalls. After the 1950′s the breed was nearly extincted. A herdbook was started in 1988. Read the rest of this entry »
